KANNAD Integra AF GPS ELT
The McMurdo KANNAD Integra AF GPS ELT is a compact emergency transmitter with integrated antenna and GPS. It has all necessary approvals, FAA TSO-C126a as well as ETSO-2C91a and -2C126. The robust and reliable shock sensor automatically activates the ELT in case of an impact. The pilot can also manually activate the ELT via a remote switch (RC200) on the instrument panel. After activation, the ELT continuously transmits over 48 hours on a 406 MHz signal (COSPAS-SARSAT emergency signal) and a 121.5 MHz signal (emergency frequency) to alert the international rescue services to the global COSPAS-SARSAT search and rescue system , The integrated GPS signal reduces the search range to 0.03 square miles, compared to 28 square miles without a GPS signal (such as the AF406 Compact).
Note: the integrated antenna only transmits the 406 MHz signal. In order to be able to use the 121.5 MHz signal, the portable or the external antenna (Whip) must be installed.
For mobile use, the activation must be carried out manually. The robust and reliable impact sensor is automatically activated when the device is fixed (with the appropriate mounting bracket) including the external antenna. In addition, the pilot can also manually activate the ELT in the fixed installation version in an emergency.
